Frequently asked questions
No. The free plan has no monthly invoice cap and no client cap. The difference between Free and Plus is not volume — it is whether Balaana collects the payment for you, connects to your bank feed and supports more than one login.
That is the commitment. Balaana is funded by Plus subscriptions and by the transaction fees on payments collected through the platform, so the free plan does not need to become paid to keep the lights on. If a specific feature ever has to move, existing free accounts keep what they already use.
The $7 a month covers the software. Card and PayID payments also carry the payment provider’s transaction fee, which Balaana passes through at cost with no margin added. Bank transfers your client makes directly to you cost nothing either way.
Yes, in either direction and at any time. Upgrading takes effect immediately and is charged pro rata. Downgrading returns you to the free plan at the end of the period you have paid for, and every invoice, expense and client record stays exactly where it is.
No. Plus includes up to three users for the one $7 a month — a partner, a bookkeeper and you. There is no per-seat charge, which is the part that makes conventional accounting software expensive for a two-person business.
