MYOB runs from $11 a month for Solo to $210 a month for AccountRight Premier. In between sit MYOB Business Lite at $35, Pro at $70, AccountRight Plus at $165, and a standalone Payroll Only plan at $15. Every figure on this page was read from myob.com on 21 September 2026.
Two things matter more than the headline numbers, and neither is obvious from the pricing page. MYOB's advertised prices do not include GST, so add 10 per cent to compare them with a GST-inclusive price. And Solo, the cheap plan, cannot lodge a BAS. If you are registered for GST, the real entry point is Lite.
What does MYOB cost?
| Plan | Per month | Per year | Payroll | Lodge a BAS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $11 | $99 | None | No |
| Business Lite | $35 | $315 | Add-on, up to 2 staff | Yes |
| Business Pro | $70 | $630 | Add-on, unlimited staff | Yes |
| AccountRight Plus | $165 | $1,485 | Unlimited, included | Yes |
| AccountRight Premier | $210 | see below | Unlimited, included | Yes |
| Payroll Only | $15 | No annual option | Up to 4 staff | Not applicable |
Prices are the standard rates with no promotion applied, and exclude GST. MYOB's pricing cards show Solo and Lite on annual billing by default and the other plans on monthly, so the two figures in each row come from opposite sides of the same toggle.
AccountRight Premier's annual price is left blank on purpose. MYOB's own page is inconsistent about it: the underlying page data says one figure and the text beside it says another. Rather than pick one, use the monthly $210 and confirm the annual rate with MYOB directly.
MYOB prices exclude GST
This is the single most useful thing on this page for anyone comparing quotes. MYOB makes no blanket statement that its prices include GST. Its Business Terms say that where a fee is not marked GST inclusive, GST is added to it. Only two prices on the pricing page are marked inclusive, and both are promotional.
So the real cost of the advertised figures is 10 per cent higher:
- Solo at $11 a month is $12.10 including GST.
- Business Lite at $35 a month is $38.50.
- Business Pro at $70 a month is $77.
- AccountRight Plus at $165 a month is $181.50.
That matters when you put MYOB beside a competitor that quotes GST inclusive. Xero states on its Australian pricing page that its prices include GST, so a straight column-against-column comparison of the two advertised numbers understates MYOB by a tenth. If you are registered for GST you claim the GST back either way, so the difference is a cash flow and comparison problem rather than a permanent cost. If you are not registered, it is simply 10 per cent more.
The catch with Solo: no BAS
Solo is MYOB's plan for one-person businesses, at $99 a year or $11 a month. It sends unlimited quotes and invoices, tracks unlimited expenses, and connects up to two bank accounts. There is no invoice cap, which is a genuine point in its favour against entry-level plans elsewhere that do cap you.
What it does not do is lodge a Business Activity Statement. Solo tracks GST but stops there. If your turnover has reached the $75,000 GST registration threshold, you have to lodge a BAS, and on Solo you would be doing it outside the software.
That turns the decision into a step rather than a slope. A sole trader under the threshold can live on Solo at $99 a year. A sole trader over it is looking at Business Lite, which is $35 a month before GST, or $462 a year including it. The gap between those two numbers is the whole question for most one-person businesses, and it is not visible on the pricing page.
Solo also has no payroll at all, so the moment you pay anyone, including yourself through a company, you are on a different plan.
What each plan adds
- Solo. Invoices, quotes, expenses, GST tracking, two bank feeds. No BAS lodgment, no payroll.
- Business Lite. Adds BAS lodgment, inventory and orders, and invoice reminders. Payroll is an add-on at $3 a month per employee, capped at two employees. Unlimited inventory is a further $22 a month.
- Business Pro. Adds unlimited bank feeds and sales orders, and lifts the payroll add-on to unlimited employees at the same $3 each. Unlimited inventory is still $22 a month on top.
- AccountRight Plus. Unlimited payroll at no extra cost, unlimited inventory included, priority and 24/7 chat support, guided setup. This is a desktop and browser product rather than browser only.
- AccountRight Premier. Adds multiple currencies, a second business on the same subscription, and unlimited inventory locations.
- Payroll Only. Standalone payroll for up to four employees at $15 a month, with no accounting attached and no annual billing option.
The payroll structure is worth reading twice, because it is unusual. On Lite and Pro payroll is not included at any headcount. It is $3 per employee per month on top, and Lite caps you at two people. A business paying five staff on Pro is at $70 plus $15, which is $85 before GST.
The discounts, and what they revert to
MYOB is running promotional pricing across every plan. All of the current offers are stated to end on 15 January 2027 unless varied, and most are limited to new or returning customers who have not had an active subscription for at least 30 days.
| Plan | Offer | For | Then |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo, yearly | $12 total | First 12 months | $99 a year |
| Solo, monthly | $5.50 a month | First 3 months | $11 a month |
| Lite, yearly | $94.50 total | First 12 months | $315 a year |
| Lite, monthly | $17.50 a month | First 6 months | $35 a month |
| Pro, monthly | $21 a month | First 6 months | $70 a month |
| AccountRight Plus, monthly | $66 a month | First 3 months | $165 a month |
| Payroll Only | $2 a month | First 3 months | $15 a month |
Solo's yearly offer is the one to look at carefully. $12 for a year is close to free, and then it is $99. That is not a criticism, it is just the shape of the deal, and the number that matters for a decision is the second one. MYOB's Business Terms also let it change fees with 30 days written notice, so the standard price is what it is today rather than a commitment.
Is MYOB worth it for a sole trader?
It depends on payroll and inventory, which is the same test as any of the incumbents. MYOB is a full accounting platform and the AccountRight tiers in particular are built for businesses with staff, stock and multiple currencies. If you have those, the subscription is buying something real.
If you are one person, with no employees, no stock and no foreign currency invoices, most of what you are paying for sits unused. The honest comparison for that situation is between Solo at $99 a year without BAS, Lite at $462 a year including GST with BAS, and a free product.
Balaana's free plan has unlimited invoices and clients, expense and receipt capture, GST tracked per transaction, a quarterly BAS summary and CSV export, for one user, at no cost. It does not do payroll, inventory, multi-currency or job costing and is not going to, so it replaces MYOB only for businesses that need none of those. Our pricing is here, and what free actually means in this market is worth reading before you commit to anything, including us.

Frequently asked questions
Standard prices are $11 a month for Solo, $35 for MYOB Business Lite, $70 for Business Pro, $165 for AccountRight Plus and $210 for AccountRight Premier, with a standalone Payroll Only plan at $15. These are MYOB advertised figures and they exclude GST, so add 10 per cent for the real cost.
No. MYOB makes no blanket statement that its prices include GST, and its Business Terms say GST is added where a fee is not marked as inclusive. Only two prices on the pricing page are marked GST inclusive and both are promotional. This matters when comparing MYOB against a competitor that quotes GST inclusive prices.
Solo is MYOB plan for one-person businesses, at $99 a year or $11 a month before GST. It gives unlimited quotes and invoices, unlimited expense tracking and two bank feeds. There is no invoice cap. It has no payroll, and it tracks GST without being able to lodge a BAS.
No. Solo tracks GST but cannot lodge a Business Activity Statement. If you are registered for GST you would be lodging outside the software, so the practical entry point for a GST-registered business is MYOB Business Lite at $35 a month before GST.
Not on Lite or Pro. Payroll is an add-on at $3 per employee per month on both, and Lite caps you at two employees while Pro allows unlimited. Payroll is included at no extra cost only from AccountRight Plus upward. There is also a standalone Payroll Only plan at $15 a month for up to four employees.
MYOB Business Lite and Pro are browser based and charge for payroll per employee. AccountRight Plus and Premier are desktop and browser products that include unlimited payroll and unlimited inventory, with priority support. Premier adds multiple currencies, a second business and unlimited inventory locations.
It depends on whether you need payroll or inventory. If you have staff or stock, the subscription buys something you use. If you are one person with no employees, no inventory and no foreign currency invoicing, most of the platform sits idle and a free product covers the same core work of invoicing, expenses, GST tracking and a BAS summary.
